Job Description

BTG in partnership with a large logistics company in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Project Manager. This position includes a competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k.

Scope of Responsibility
  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and forecasts;
  • Oversee the quality of work performed on all projects owned;
  • Identify, assess, document, and minimize project risks using Crowley processes and tools;
  • Develop and communicate schedule and project status information weekly, which may include providing that communication in meetings and written reports;
  • Manage project budgets, report over/underage;
  • Ensure the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality;
  • Create and communicate changes to plans, schedules, and budgets using Crowley’s request for change process;
  • Forecast, communicate, and coordinate the implementation of logistics software at multiple locations throughout the USA;
  • Other duties assigned consistent with the role of a project manager;
Mandatory Skills Needed:  
  • 8+ years
  • Has background in being PM for software implementations to end users;
  • Experience managing IT projects in a transportation/Logistics business;
  • Highly organized and multi-tasker
  • Detail-oriented and pragmatic
  • Excellent communicator (interpersonal and written)
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems quickly
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to manage all aspects of multiple projects, including but not restricted to project charter, risks/issues, deliverables, approvals, schedule, and cost;
  • Ability to communicate all aspects of the project as part of managing expectations vertically and horizontally;
  • Ability to create WBS, detailed project task plans, weekly stakeholder and project team communication;
  • Ability to manage project teams in a combined weak matrix and strong matrix environment, identify and resolve resource allocation issues;
Desirable Skills:
  • PMP
  • Experience managing Logistics/Transportation software implementation
