BTG, in partnership with a top ranked healthcare company in Florida, has an immediate need for a Instructional Designer.

Requirements of the Instructional Designer

  • Bachelor's degree or related equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education, including instructional development, adult learning theory, graphic design & editing, and/or web design and development
  • Experience with instructional system design, including the ability to assist in designing and developing instructionally sound, blended formal and informal learning solutions
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance mandates and guidelines and the ability to make design recommendations taking compliance guidelines into perspective
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adobe Captivate experience (version 9 or higher)
    • Demonstrated experience working with multiple industry recognized instructional design models is preferred
    • Adobe Creative Suite experience
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred

Responsibilities of the Instructional Designer

  • Support partnerships with stakeholders by defining and designing effective instructional strategies and learner assessments for low to medium complexity multi-component learning solutions
  • Understand the features and capabilities of various virtual delivery modalities for the design and development of instructionally sound Instructor-Led Training (ILT) or Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)
  • Able to complete work independently throughout the applicable development stage of the instructional design model being adopted; able to complete work independently including the communication, implementation and adoption of methodologies and best practices by the learning organization
  • Assist with identifying the need for learning intervention through analysis of new or changed user tasks, responsibilities, etc., due to new product/program/process/system releases, upgrades or updates
  • Support the design and development of knowledge and skill-based assessments (written and simulated) that align with learning knowledge and performance-based objectives; develop instructionally-sound knowledge, skill and job performance-based assessments with minimal guidance
  • Assist with developing and managing the scopes, forecasts, and work plans/timelines for instructional design projects that encompass team members from all areas of the learning organization (Design, Delivery, Learning Ops, Implementation, and Evaluation); able to perform these duties independently for instructional design projects of low to intermediate levels of complexity
  • Partner with management and/or peers to define and implement process improvements
